Orders & Account
Do I need an account to place an order?
No, you can check out as a guest. Creating an account is quicker for future orders, lets you track your delivery, and gives you access to your order history and saved shades. You can register at the start of checkout or any time afterwards from the account icon at the top of the page.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
We pack orders quickly so they reach you the next working day, which means there is a short window to make changes. If you need to amend the shade, length, delivery address or cancel, message us via WhatsApp or email orders@hairchoiceextensions.com as soon as possible and we will do everything we can to help before the order is dispatched.
How do I track my order?
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking link. If you have an account, you can also track from the order history page. If you cannot find the email, please check your junk folder before getting in touch.
I have not received my order confirmation, what should I do?
Order confirmations are sent immediately after checkout. If it has not arrived within 30 minutes, please check your junk or spam folder, and confirm you entered the correct email address. If you still cannot find it, message us with the name and postcode the order was placed under and we will resend it.
Delivery
Where do you ship from?
All orders are picked, packed and dispatched from our warehouse in the United Kingdom, so wherever you are in the world, your order has been hand prepared by our UK based team.
How long does UK delivery take?
We offer four UK delivery options to suit how quickly you need your hair:
- Next Day 24hr Tracked: free on orders over £50, or £4.50 on orders under £50
- Two Day 48hr Tracked: free on orders over £50, or £3.99 on orders under £50
- Guaranteed Saturday Delivery: £10.00 (order by 4pm Friday)
Orders placed on a working day before our daily cut off are dispatched the same day. Orders placed after the cut off, at weekends or on bank holidays are dispatched the next working day. Delivery applies to the UK mainland, Guernsey and Jersey.
Do you offer free delivery?
Yes, every UK order over £50 qualifies for free Next Day 24hr Tracked delivery as standard. Two Day 48hr Tracked is also free on orders over £50 if you would prefer the slower option.
Do you offer Saturday delivery?
Yes. Guaranteed Saturday Delivery is available for £10.00, your order must be placed by 4pm on Friday to qualify. Perfect if you have a wedding, event or special occasion at the weekend.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. International delivery is priced by region and takes 1 to 7 working days depending on destination. Approximate pricing is below; exact rates and transit times are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address.
- Netherlands & Spain: £6.99, 1 to 4 working days
- Selected European countries (incl. Andorra, Croatia, Estonia): £7.99, 1 to 4 working days
- Germany, Ireland, Austria and most of Europe: £8.99, 1 to 4 working days
- Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus and others: £9.99, 1 to 4 working days
- Wider international (incl. Angola, Bangladesh): £10.99, 5 to 7 working days
- Rest of the world: £11.99, 5 to 7 working days
International customers may be liable for local import duties or taxes on arrival; these are not collected by us at checkout.
Will I have to pay customs or import duties?
Customers outside the UK may be charged local import duties or VAT by their country's customs authority on arrival. These charges are set by the destination country and are not included in our checkout price. We recommend checking with your local customs office if you are unsure what to expect.
Has my parcel been delivered to the wrong address?
Please check the tracking link first, sometimes parcels are left with a neighbour or in a safe place. If you still cannot locate your order 24 hours after the tracking shows delivered, please get in touch with your order number and we will open an investigation with the courier.
Colour Matching
How do I choose the right shade?
Our shade chart on every product page shows our full colour range with close up texture and tone references. If you are between shades, or your natural hair has highlights, balayage or rooted tones, we strongly recommend using our free WhatsApp colour match service before ordering. Send us a few well lit photos and one of our specialists will recommend the right shade for you, usually within a few hours during opening times.
What is the Colour Match service?
Our Colour Match service lets you order without choosing a shade yourself. Add the Colour Match option to your basket, upload a few photos of your natural hair on the product page, and our team will hand pick the perfect match before dispatch. It is the easiest way to be confident your extensions will blend seamlessly.
My natural hair is multi-tonal or has highlights, which shade should I choose?
Multi-tonal hair almost always benefits from a colour match consultation rather than guessing from a screen. Rooted, balayage and highlighted shades are designed to blend, but matching the tones at the ends of your hair is what makes the extensions invisible. Message us on WhatsApp with photos in natural daylight and we will recommend the best option.
Can I buy a swatch sample before I order?
A physical swatch service is coming soon. In the meantime, our WhatsApp colour match service gives you the same confidence at no cost, we match thousands of customers a year and our team has the experience to get it right first time.
About Our Hair
Are your extensions made from real human hair?
Yes, our luxury extensions are 100% Remy human hair, sourced ethically and processed with the cuticles intact and aligned in the same direction. This is what gives our hair its natural movement, shine and longevity. Our Backstage Clip-In range is the exception, made from premium heat resistant synthetic fibre designed for occasional wear at a more accessible price point.
What does Remy mean?
Remy refers to human hair where the cuticles are kept intact and all run in the same direction, root to tip. This prevents tangling, retains natural shine and makes the hair last significantly longer than non-Remy alternatives. All of our human hair extensions are Remy.
How long will my extensions last?
With proper care, our clip-in extensions can last 6 to 12 months of regular wear, and tape and weft extensions typically last 3 to 6 months per application before they need to be refitted with new tabs or weft refreshed. Longevity depends on how often you wear them, the styling tools you use, and your aftercare routine. Our care guide has full advice.
Can I colour, dye or bleach my extensions?
Our human hair extensions can be toned or deepened by a qualified colourist, but we never recommend lifting (bleaching) extensions yourself. Lightening processes weaken the hair and can cause irreversible damage. Always patch test first and seek a professional. We cannot accept returns on extensions that have been coloured.
Can I style my extensions with heat?
Yes, our human hair extensions can be straightened, curled and blow dried just like your own hair. We recommend keeping heat under 180°C and always using a heat protectant. Our Backstage Clip-In synthetic range has a lower heat limit of 120°C, please follow the guidance on the product page to avoid damage.
Will my extensions match my hair if I dye my hair regularly?
Yes, as long as you match your extensions to the freshly coloured tone of your hair. We recommend ordering your extensions just after a salon visit so the colour is at its truest. If your roots and ends differ significantly, consider a rooted shade or a colour match consultation so we can recommend the best blend.
Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Shop Pay. We also offer buy now pay later through Klarna and Clearpay.
How does Klarna or Clearpay work?
Klarna and Clearpay let you split your purchase into three or four interest free instalments, paid over a few weeks. Choose Klarna or Clearpay at checkout, enter your details and complete the purchase as normal. Your first instalment is taken at the time of purchase and the rest is collected automatically. Subject to eligibility and credit checks.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. All payments are processed through secure, PCI compliant payment providers and protected by SSL encryption. We do not store your card details on our website.
Do you accept student or key worker discounts?
Yes, we offer dedicated discounts through Student Beans and Blue Light Card. Verify your eligibility at checkout to unlock your discount automatically. Discounts cannot be used in conjunction with other promotional codes.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your returns policy?
We want you to love your hair. If your extensions are not right for you, you can return them to us within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange, provided the seal on the packaging has not been broken and the hair has not been opened, worn or styled. For hygiene reasons, opened extensions cannot be returned. Full returns instructions and address details are included with every order and on our dedicated Returns page.
Can I return my extensions if I have opened the packaging?
For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on extensions where the inner seal has been broken or the hair has been removed from its packaging. If you are unsure of your shade, our WhatsApp colour match service is free and will give you confidence before you open the pack.
My shade does not match, can I exchange it?
If the packaging is unopened, yes, we are happy to exchange your extensions for a different shade within our 30 day window. To avoid this in future, please use our free WhatsApp colour match service before your next order.
My order arrived damaged or faulty, what should I do?
We are sorry to hear that. Please email us at orders@hairchoiceextensions.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the issue, and our customer care team will arrange a replacement or refund. Faulty or damaged items do not count against your standard returns window.
How long do refunds take?
Once we receive and inspect your returned order, refunds are processed within 3 to 5 working days back to your original payment method. Your bank may take a further few days to display the refund on your statement.
Caring for Your Extensions
How do I wash my extensions?
Wash your extensions every 15 to 20 wears using a sulphate free shampoo and conditioner. Work product through gently from mid length to ends, avoiding the clips, bonds or tape. Rinse thoroughly with cool water, blot with a microfibre towel and allow them to air dry on a flat surface. Avoid wringing or rubbing, extensions do not have a scalp producing natural oils, so over washing dries them out.
Can I sleep, swim or exercise in my extensions?
Clip-in extensions should be removed before sleeping, swimming or intense exercise to protect both the hair and your scalp. Tape-in and weft extensions can be worn during these activities, but we recommend braiding or tying your hair up and rinsing with fresh water after swimming to avoid chlorine and salt damage.
Do my extensions need a special brush?
Yes, extensions should be brushed with a loop brush or a soft bristle extension friendly brush, starting from the ends and working upwards in small sections. Avoid harsh tugging at the roots or clips. We sell brushes designed specifically for extension wear in our Accessories collection.

Do you offer trade pricing for salons and stylists?
Yes. Our trade programme is designed for qualified hair professionals, salon owners and educators. Approved trade customers receive wholesale pricing, priority dispatch and dedicated account support. Apply through our Trade page, you will need to submit your professional credentials and salon details for review.
